What a fantastic weekend for Newport! The annual Pirates in the Port Shanty and Folk Festival brought music, song and plenty of pirate spirit to the city, with performances taking place across more than 15 venues.

We were delighted that The Cab was part of the festival, welcoming performers and audiences for a weekend packed with sea shanties, folk music and a great community atmosphere. The venue was buzzing throughout, with visitors enjoying live music, good company and the unique spirit that makes this festival such a highlight of Newport’s cultural calendar.

A huge thank you goes to all the organisers, volunteers, musicians and audiences who helped make the event such a success. Festivals like Pirates in the Port showcase the incredible talent, creativity and community spirit that exists across Newport and beyond.
