There’s barely time to wash off the sins before our Cab Community Theatre group starts work on its Christmas production!
Straight after next week’s performance of The Seven Deadly Sins, the group will be throwing themselves into Uncle Grimm’s Fairytales for Christmas – our rather dark and definitely grown-up take on the traditional Christmas panto.
Inspired by the original Grimm fairytales, the show will revisit some very familiar stories – but perhaps not quite as we remember them from childhood.
The original tales were often strange, gruesome, frightening and very funny, and we’ll be embracing all of that. Expect familiar fairytale characters, Victorian Christmas storytelling, panto, comedy, horror and Uncle Grimm himself making sure nobody makes the stories too nice!
As always, the production will be developed with our actors through workshops, improvisation and plenty of ideas from the group.
A dark, funny and slightly twisted Christmas is on its way to The Cab.
Once upon a time… things were considerably more horrible.
