Over the past year, Comic Relief’s Organisational Growth Grant has given Reality Theatre something incredibly valuable – the opportunity to invest in ourselves.

Like many small community organisations, we’re often so busy delivering projects and supporting people that we rarely get the chance to step back and strengthen the organisation behind the scenes. Thanks to Comic Relief, we’ve been able to improve our systems, invest in staff training and development, review our finances, strengthen governance and create a clearer plan for the future.

The grant has helped us build stronger foundations, ensuring we can continue providing creative opportunities, tackling loneliness and isolation, supporting people with additional learning needs, and creating an inclusive community space through arts and music. Most importantly, it has helped us become a more sustainable organisation, ready for the next chapter of our journey.

We’d like to say a heartfelt thank you to Comic Relief for believing in grassroots organisations like ours and recognising that investing in infrastructure, staff and sustainability is every bit as important as funding front-line delivery.
